Dr. Reader received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987 and then completed a residency in Ear, Nose, Throat, & Orofacial Plastic Surgery at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in 1992. He was in private practice in Des Moines, IA until relocating back to Kirksville, MO in 1994, where in addition to being in private practice, he was an associate professor at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, an adjunct professor at Truman State University, and program director of the ENT residency program at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center.
From 2003-2004, he completed a Neurotology fellowship in Minneapolis, MN at the Minnesota Ear, Head, & Neck Clinic and Fairview University Hospital. He returned to Kirksville, MO for 1 year prior to moving to Porterville, CA.
Dr. Reader was board certified in 1994 by the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is a fellow in both the AOCOO-HNS and AAO-HNS. He is currently on staff at the Sierra View District Hospital and Kaweah Delta District Hospital.
